There is a lot of great work happening in Dummer Parish and the surrounding area, and a short social media post does not always give me enough space to tell the full story.
As a Parish Councillor, I want to use this website to share more detailed updates about local projects, stories about local people and explanations of decisions that affect our community. I hope it will be useful to residents, volunteers and local businesses alike.
I will still use social media for bite-sized updates. Here, I can explain what is happening, what progress has been made and where there are difficulties.
One current example is the crossing connecting Housome Fields to Maplewood Park. Work is underway, but it has encountered some construction obstacles. Our county councillor is receiving two-weekly updates, and I will keep a close eye on those and share news here as it becomes available.
