Who am I?

Man smiling in front of a canal with boats.

Firstly, thank you for stopping by, my name is Sascha, and I am a parish councillor in Dummer and have been for two and a half years. I have lived in the parish for ten years, first at Longacre and now at Hounsome Fields. As a family man, I care about making our community a welcoming place for people of all ages.

I became a councillor to give our community a voice and support residents with local issues. I believe we can make our parish the best place it can be by working together, listening to one another and finding practical solutions to the things that matter to residents.

I also have 26 years of experience as a nurse in the NHS. I am passionate about making sure people have access to the right services to live happy, healthy lives. That commitment is part of what I bring to my role as a councillor, where I want residents to feel heard and supported.I have good working relationships with community leaders, local services and the developers building new homes in our parish as well as the management companies. These relationships help me raise residents’ concerns and work with those involved to address local issues.

Outside my work and council responsibilities, I am also a beekeeper and as a result, protecting our countryside is close to my heart, and I care about looking after the places we share, both for those who live here now and for future residents.

What other roles do I hold?

Alongside my work as a Parish Councillor, I also hold the following roles within our community:
